Top 3 Fantasy books I would love to escape into

One of my top favorite genres of books is fantasy. It is my escape from reality that allows me to live thousands of lives without leaving the comfort of home. Fantasy has shown me how to travel a world beyond my imagination, through the lengths of pages.  Hopefully, these books can do the same by bringing you into their worlds filled with enchanted forests and magical architecture. Enjoy these recommendations as they take you on a journey like none before!

Starts off with two sisters who play a game on a traveling circus that are introduced to different people and have to play a game of illusions. This was my first fantasy book I read to get out of a long overdue reading slump of three years! This world building is so captivating in the way of being very majestic and whimsical. I am too naive to play the games within the book, I would probably not survive. However, the people and the land it is created on would be worth it! 

Learning how to navigate from illusions to reality, and walking around a magical city surrounding the carnival is a dream. And the dresses?! Are to die for. 

If I was in Carval. My vibe would be a big poofy green gown with my locs in a curly updo. Isn’t that a visual?! I’ve yet to read a book that reminds me of carnival and I would definitely give it a try.

No one actually understands how often I think about this book and I’m not exaggerating maybe one or twice a month. I beg anyone in this world to give the ACOTAR series a chance especially the second book which is my roman empire. I will never be over this world. From the magical libraries to courts are vastly different from one another, it is breathtaking. The world building is actually inspired by an existing place in a cold atmosphere (if you know, you know) in our real world, and I often think about visiting places to experience what the characters may have in this book. 

As you read more of the ACOTAR series, the story line is definitely intense, however J. Mass does an amazing job at capturing a cozy atmosphere in times where peace arrives.

I’ve been told that the world building is similar to the idea of GOT, which i’ve never watched but if you are a fan of the world in Game of Thrones you may enjoy a court of fury and mist. 

Think faeries, magical land, and fierce creatures but not in a corny way but in a whimsical and enticing way!

I love any academic and moody vibe that are created in books, and this one is by far my favorite! From the dragons to the architecture vision I have in my head, and the map that was created by the author, it is my version of harry potter but definitely rated R. I could fully live in this world and would love to own my own dragon and have an amazing friend group that tackles insane life scenarios together!

Every step into this book felt adventurous and risky. Following the characters as they learn how to compete in a hostile environment and train with their dragons. A world like this, pulled me in instantly.

also, the world building is intense and at first, it may be hard to envision or follow just because there are so many obstacles that the characters have to go through. But overall finishing the 1st and 2nd book, I have the vision and it’s somewhere I would love to experience.
